Back in the studio after a self-imposed hiatus, Jon Lucien continues to capture the romantic feeling of love on this 1997 release. This most recent hiatus was due to the loss of his daughter, Dalila Lucien, who perished on the ill-fated TWA Flight 800 in July of 1996. His depression also caused him to lose sight in one eye.
Lucein includes songs from previous releases as well as the rerendering of two compositions, "Rashida" and "Endless Is Love." Lucien does an excellent job covering "The Look of Love" and "Sailing;" you'd swear, listening to the latter, that if you closed your eyes you'd drift straight off to the Carribean Islands.
This set also includes five new compositions. The title track, "Endless is Love" is vintage Lucien with deep emotional coloring. "Sweet Promises" has an upbeat and infectious tempo. Jon Lucien's music comes into your heart, into your soul and provides you sweet control.
