1. I regret that I am unable to take the time to write long essays to answer very general questions about jazz. Other jazz related questions about syndicated jazz programs will be considered as time and space permits.

2. Please have patience. I have a backlog of over 150 questions, and many of them require time consuming research. This also means that they aren't always answered in the order received.

3. If you believe that the CD that you're seeking is still in print, try searching other web sites through www.mysimon.com or www.ebay.com. Be sure to enable cookies as some sites won't allow a search without them.

   Also, I'd recommend reading Andre Henkin's column Out-Of-Print and Chris Hovan's column Jazz From The Vinyl Junkyard -- you'll find both to be helpful resources.

4. Questions about a specific CD or LP have the highest priority, along with artist discography queries. And please, no questions about locating sheet music or questions about music other than jazz.

5. Please provide as much information as possible.

6. Because of the volume of questions, replies will be posted in the column rather than answered individually.

7. Although I occasionally have jazz CDs and LPs available for sale or trade, I am an individual collector and not a professional dealer. If you want a list of what I have available, go here.

8. Please do not type in all caps! Proper punctuation, spelling and capitalization of words is greatly appreciated, in order to give the column a more uniform appearance and to save my time.

9. Don't conceal your email address. If I can't follow up with you to clarify your question, or seek additional information, it will be discarded.
