My list is always changing, but these are my favs:
- Miles Davis - 'Kind Of Blue' (this record sends all of my emotions
into a hurricane)
- Miles Davis - 'Filles De Kilimanjaro' (the most underrated jazz
record of all time)
- Miles Davis - 'In A Silent Way' (this record sounds like it comes
from a different planet or something)
- Miles Davis - 'Sketches of Spain' (music that comes from deep within
the heart)
- Miles Davis - 'Milestones' (music to dance to)
- 'John Coltrane & Duke Ellington' - (another highly underrated jazz
record, the simplicity of Ellington's compositions and piano playing
conrast beautifully with John's gigantic tenor)
- Herbie Hancock - 'Maiden Voyage' (this record always takes me away to
some Island or something)
- Jimmy Smith - 'The Sermon' (Jimmy at his best, Art Blakey drives and
rides the beat like nothing could stop him)
- Tony Williams - 'Foreign Intrigue' (Tony just plays and plays and
plays and plays and...............)
- Chet Baker - 'Let's Get Lost' (Chet's voice is aged perfectly like
wine, his playing still has its chops; GREAT RECORD!)
