Britpop

Britpop, refers to the plethora of '90s bands who drew more consciously from the tradition of the Beatles than any single movement. Though the movement originated in the U.K. indie scene, Britpop was extrememly commercial with bands who were creating the soundtrack to the lives of British youth. Although the music has faded commercially, certain bands have attempted to keep the genre alive.
