Experimental music stretches the boundaries and breaks the rules of existing genres.
An experimental label may release music which is based on any genre, but which becomes unclassifiable by virtue of introducing new techniques or structures. We will try to classify labels by the traditional genre of music to which they are most closely related, or from which they developed. But many experimental labels will release music by artists that draw from many genres, so there are no hard and fast rules of classification which apply here.
