AAJ » Music » Bands and Artists » S » Siti Nurhaliza » Category Description

While still at considerably young age, Siti Nurhaliza has won more vocalist and related awards than any other artists in Malaysia since her entering into the music scene. Her flawless beauty, angelic charm, pleasing persona and unique voice turned her into the most admired and loved singer in her birth country with millions more fans from neighboring countries of Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei, and scattering international fans from as far as China and Japan.
This honoree of AAP and PMP titles from two Malaysian states including her birthplace state of Pahang, is being generally crowned as Malaysia's celebrity princess. In fact, UMNO, a leading political party, did awarded her with the very title of Teen Princess 2002. It's amazing how someone who has never enwrap herself in anything close enough to be literally called sexy or even the least revealing in public can be voted multiple times as the most beautiful female artist in Malaysia -- an over-the-neck shot can already sell CDs, posters and magazines cultishly. With such a household name and legend-in-the-making status (at least locally), it's only natural for Nurhaliza to establish herself as a model and icon cum spokesperson for many commercial and governmental campaigns, ie. beauty products, hypermarket, Internet services and Malaysia tourism.

Having dominated back-to-back award shows, the question in everybody's mind has been "How long will she reign as the Queen of Malaysian music?". Clearly, more competitions have arised in recent years, being (Siti) Sarah as the latest to emerge starting from a tender age just like this original Siti not too long ago, but have we seen Nurhaliza's best work yet?
