A few days before his death on September 19th, 1997, Rich Mullins laid down rough, demo recordings of the songs that were to be on his next release. It's these recordings, along with the help of his friends in the Christian music world, that make up this box-set titled 'The Jesus Record'.
The first disc sub-titled 'The Jesus Demo' contains those haunting, rough recordings, while disc 2, 'The Jesus Record', contains the same songs, except performed by his band, 'The Ragamuffins', Ashley Cleveland, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Phil Keaggy. Disc 1: The Jesus Demo
