Biography: Short but Sweet

The girls of Lash met in highschool (Santa Marie College) in Perth and formed the band Exteria. After being together for 3 weeks, the girls entered the song "Aloha Mr Hand" into the Open Youth Category for under-18s in the 1996 Western Australian Music Industry Association Awards. The girls, aged 14 at the time won a $1,000 prize.

At that stage Andrew Klippel heard the song and was very impressed, and took over management of the band. The girls headed into the studio with Andrew and Barry Palmer.

The first single, Take Me Away, was released on 26th of March 2001, and quickly hit the charts recieving plenty of airplay throughout Australia. This single also giving the girls an ARIA nomination for best new artist - single.

Their second single Beauty Queen was released in August of 2001, along with another excellent video. The bands debut album The Beautiful and The Damned hit stored April 1.

The girls toured Australia a number of times with the likes of Eskimo Joe, The Living End, Motor Ace and Ash.

Unforturnatly the dream did not last long for the girls and they disbanded early in 2003.
