Biography: 3 Kisses

Less than a year in the making, the alternative-pop band 3 KISSES is making an impression in Austin, TX. 3 KISSES played their first show in January 2004 and have progressed to playing big events such as the Motive Bison Stampede Half Marathon to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure where the band performed for over 19,000 race participants. 3 KISSES supports breast cancer research by donating a portion of their CD sales to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Tish lost her mother to breast cancer in 1989 and in addition to supporting the cause with the music of 3 KISSES; she has recently become a published author in Jack Canfield & Mark Victor Hansen's Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul. In her story, Legacy, she talks about how this loss has affected her life and choices.

Tony is an attention-grabber as he simultaneously plays guitar, Roland PK5A midi pedals with his feet and sings backing vocals. Tish's unbridled energy will draw a crowd from the back of the room to the front of the stage in seconds flat. The primary goal of 3 KISSES every time they take the stage is to have fun! Tish's interaction with Tony, bassist Ed Hale and drummer Jennie Rutherford combined with her commanding stage presence and vivacious personality invite the audience to be a part of the 3 KISSES experience.

An exquisite concoction of unusual guitar work blended with atmospheric vocals, dynamic drums and driving bass lines, 3 KISSES, has evolved into a captivating act with an infectious sound. From the driving rock-funk of "Yellow" to the dreamy, melodic yearning of "Wings" and even further, to the retro, 60's rock vibe of "Wastin' Time" 3 KISSES encompasses the spectrum. Says Jay King, VP of Classic R&B, Thump/Universal, "Great songwriting - an excellent mix of yesterday and today." This diverse band is out to show you a good time!

"We write songs about life - things that we've experienced, both good and bad, things people can apply to their own circumstances", says Tish. "Our purpose is to create and deliver energized songs that reach the soul of the listener."

"It is important to us to convey our message from an unusual perspective - one the listener is not accustomed to hearing," says Tony. "We want to give each song the strength to stand alone."

Most recently, 3 KISSES has been featured on Indie Artist Radio on James St. James's Indie Limelight Radio Show, on Indie-Music.com and they were spotlighted by the Austin American-Statesman in the Fall 2004 Showcase directory previewing the Central Texas Music Scene. 3 KISSES first release, "Wings", prompted a publicity deal with TinderboX Music. The band premiered their first video Yellow in September on the Austin Music Network and live on 6th Street at The Vibe.
