Unseen Conspiracy?
A Candid Conversation with A Record Company Executive, Part 2

In the interest of presenting both sides of the issues we explore here on Bird Lives, we invite feedback and Diatribes from anyone with an opinion to share.

Accordingly, several months ago, we published an interview with a rather disgruntled major label record executive, who chose to remain anonymous, that caused quite a stir.  This individual contacted us as a warning of sorts, to let us know that our Diatribes had upset the powers that be and that reprisals would be forthcoming.

We also posted, unedited, just before the holidays, a rebuttal from Matt Pierson, of Warner Bros Records. Mr. Pierson is a regular visitor to this site and we applauded his willingness to speak out, on the record, about the issues we've discussed.

This week, we received a very disturbing phone call from another executive with something to say.  After consulting with our legal department, we now present that phone call, in its entirety.  Informed sources tell us that the executive is for real, a man whose name is well known to everyone in the jazz business.  But for reasons that will quickly become obvious, he too has chosen to remain anonymous.
