Album Description

Christophe lays breezy, Spanish style guitar running over down-tempo beats and occasional, well-placed vocal samples. The electronica touches are so understated on most of the tracks that this set will appeal more to fans of smooth jazz. And the world music influences will remind some of Peter Gabriel. Though the overall sound is oh-so-light, these instrumentals cannot be dismissed as mere background music. Goze’s guitar work is too inventive and complex for such labeling. Tracks like “About us” or “Manana” have now become Chillout classic tracks and had been heard on compilations and projects around the world.
