Pop d'autore visto con le lenti dal jazz. Gli ISQ sono una formazione inglese nelle cui file milita Irene Serra, cantante dalle origini italiane ma oggi stabilmente a Londra. Insieme a un pugno di musicisti divisi fra contrabbasso, batteria e pianoforte, è giunta al secondo album, presentato nella capitale inglese in un locale di Soho pochi mesi fa.

Too è una seconda prova brillante, composta da una collezione di brani molto più vicini alla canzone pop (nel senso più alto del termine) che a quella jazz. L'impronta della band è dettata comunque da una chiara frequentazione jazzistica e in queste otto tracce trova perfetta combinazione con la voce di Irene.

"Reflections" è una partenza che non può lasciare indifferenti. Una introduzione per sole voce e pianoforte danno il via a uno dei motivi dell'album destinati a non essere facilmente dimenticati. "Falling Stars" è un piccolo capolavoro di intimo minimalismo nel quale si innesta il fraseggio fluido del contrabbasso di Richard Sadler , "Still Life" rincorre chiaroscuri tutti pianistici e "As I Lay You Down" mostra l'anima più composita della formazione musicale di -isq. "Tears of a Clown" suona come una mesta ninna nanna mentre a chiudere l'album sono l'incedere netto e la voce di Irene che si fanno più imperiose su "Light and Shade." Un'ottima prova, che ci lascia già in attesa di nuove canzoni.
